MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination), a social campaign launched by bollywood director and actor Farhan Akhtar is here to create awareness amongst men to instil gender equality and respect towards women. It is here to bring about a change in the mind set and thereby bringing about a sustained change in society. 

It was also promoted at IPL (Indian Premiere League) season six wherein 70,000 moustaches were distributed among the audience on the 26th of April 2013 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata during the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Kings XI Punjab match in support of the initiative.
